I am a second-year postdoc in the Department of Entomology. I am currently investigating the chemical response of Populus tremuloides to metal stress and how this may shape the communities around them. I grew up in northern New Jersey and completed my B.S. at Stockton University. I completed my PhD in chemistry at Temple University studying the kinetics of iron reduction by a tunicate transferrin, and the binding of several Rhodococcus species with titanium dioxide. I served as the Communications Director of the UWPA this past year, was a co-chair of the 2019 FOR Mentoring UW-Madison Satellite meeting. In my free time, I can be found running, fluting, or sampling local craft brews.
