Nate Willis

Nate is a postdoc and Registered Dietitian in the laboratory of Joseph Pierre where he studies digestive metabolism in the context of surgical nutrition support. Nate’s research focuses on the impact of infusion cycling and circadian rhythms on hepatic outcomes in parenteral nutrition. Prior to his postdoc, Nate received his PhD from the University of Illinois Urbana-Champaign where he worked in a clinical laboratory researching hydration status and impacts on gut-brain signaling. Outside of the laboratory, Nate enjoys cooking, gardening, and riding his bike. As secretary for the UWPA, Nate looks forward to supporting UWPA and serving the UW-Madison postdoc community.
