Jerina Rugji

Jerina is a postdoc at the Ozturk Lab at the Food Science Department. Her work is focused on isolation of bioactive components from milk and dairy streams and utilize them to design functional foods. She was born in Albania where she finished her undergraduate from the Faculty of Veterinary Medicine. She earned a Ph.D. in Food Hygiene & Technology from Burdur Mehmet Akif Ersoy University, Türkiye. In her free time, she enjoys walking, cooking, reading, gardening, and capturing the beauty of the outdoors.
