I am a first year postdoc in the Department of Pathobiological Sciences interested in urogenital pathogens and how they interface with the human host. My postdoc work will focus on peptidoglycan regulation and modification in pathogenic Neisseria and how this contributes to infection. I received my B.S. degree from the University of Oklahoma, studied abroad at the Pontifical Catholic University of Peru, and earned my doctorate in Microbiology from Virginia Commonwealth University. I’m looking forward to connecting with my Badger postdoc peers! My leisure activities include reading and salsa dancing.
