Hello! I am a Postdoctoral Research Associate in the Thevamaran Lab in the Department of Mechanical Engineering. My research focuses on the structural mechanics of nonlinear systems, with particular emphasis on understanding dynamic response, energy absorption, and failure mechanisms in architected and hierarchical materials. I investigate how geometric nonlinearities—such as those arising in crumpled sheets, anisotropic composites, and fibrous systems—can be exploited to tailor mechanical performance across scales and loading regimes. Prior to joining UW–Madison, I completed my Ph.D. in Aerospace Engineering Sciences at the University of Colorado Boulder. Outside the lab, I enjoy playing badminton, discovering new cuisines, and spending quality time with my family. I also love traveling and exploring outdoors. As the Vice President of the Postdoctoral Association, I’m excited to help build a more connected, supportive, and empowered postdoc community. I look forward to engaging with you all throughout the year.
