I am a second-year post doc in the Cell and Regenerative Biology Department studying the role of nerves in mammalian cardiac regeneration using neonatal mouse models. I grew up in the Madison area, then earned my B.S. at University of Wisconsin-River Falls. I received my Ph.D. in Molecular Pharmacology and Experimental Therapeutics from Mayo Clinic. As a member of the UWPA Diversity and Inclusion Committee and the Postdoctoral Representative to the Campus Diversity and Climate Committee, I am passionate about promoting diversity in STEM and look forward to building a safe space for everyone! When not in the lab, I can usually be found spending time with family, reading, going on adventures with my partner, and continually chasing new artistic outlets.
