Meareg Amare

Hi! I am a postdoctoral research associate at the Influenza Research Institute. I did my PhD also here at UW – Madison, in the Cellular and Molecular Biology program. I studied fungi during my PhD and shifted to studying viruses in my postdoc. I also did my M.S. in Bacteriology also here at UW – Madison, so I have been in Madison for a long time! In my free time, I love swimming, going for walks and getting coffee with friends. I’m excited to serve the postdoc community as your secretary
