Research Analyst Job Opening at CMS

This message is to announce two job openings at the Department of Health and Human Services.

“Imagine joining our research team where the norm is lively, thought-provoking collaboration. We each have an insatiable curiosity to explore new questions and untapped data. At the same time, our team embraces a culture of cooperation, excellence, and camaraderie.

We are seeking two Research Analysts who enjoy opportunities to learn new subject matter, conceptualizing challenging problems, and diving into and analyzing data. We are also looking for someone who values crafting a story to effectively explain results.

Our division is called the Division of Outcomes Measurement (DOM), and we are located within the Centers for Medicare & Medicaid Services (CMS). We use data to critically evaluate actions intended to combat fraud, waste, and abuse. Our goal is to inform policy and make recommendations for program improvement.

If this sounds like the right career for you, please visit for additional information, including specific position requirements and the process for applying. Note that the official USAJOBS posting title is Statistician (Health), but you don’t have to be an advanced statistician or specialize in healthcare research to apply.

In order to be considered, you MUST apply by following the instructions found in the vacancy announcement no later than February 7, 2019.”
